Emotional Intelligence Leadership Styles

Read the article, Leadership that Gets Results, by Daniel Goleman. In this article, Goleman discusses six leadership styles. Select the leadership style that best represents you and prepare a paper (minimum of 1000 words) discussing: Which style best represents you? Authoritative Why do you think this is your best style? Because to lead effectively there needs to be a singularity of vision. Whatever that vision is it must be interpreted and communicated in one way. Give a specific example of when this style has worked for you. We had a major change going on, it involved several sub-steps. I appointed each member of the team as a point of contact (POC) for each of the sub-steps. I gave them the authority to manage each of the steps and control how it comes to life. This reduced rework because each person didn’t interpret the work instructions differently. When this style has not worked in your favor? Sometimes people see you taking control and lose the ability to bring their ideas to the table. Their fear leads them to see you as a bully, as cocky or arrogant.
