What is impedance power?

“Impedance ” is not a term that people use. “Impedance” is the measure of the opposition that a circuit presents to a current when a voltage is applied. In a DC (direct current) circuit, impedance is the same as resistance. In an AC (alternating current) circuit, impedance is like resistance, but takes into account the phase of the resistance (the offset in time). One can calculate the power transfer through a circuit as a function of impedance and voltage.
