As you pick a conflict to analyze, a well -defined conflict may be easier to deal with than un- well defined conflict. So, I suggest you go for a well-defined conflict. For example, North Korea – South Korea conflict or Kashmir conflict or conflict in Sudan, water conflict in Flint, Michigan e.t.c. However, if you choose to go for a less – defined conflict, eg. Income inequality e.t.c, then make sure you narrow it to a specific case or cases or group (s) in a country or counties eg. Pay inequality between women v.s women or between classes or race. You can do the same for environmental conflict, trade conflict such as International market e.ct. Lastly, when we apply conflict resolution skills, techniques and practices to a given conflict, the conflict may be – resolved, managed, transformed or even non of these results may occur. So, the end result differ from a conflict to a conflict, depending on it’s context and complexity. Therefore, pick a conflict, work with it and then see what results you get at the end.
