Communication Ethics

Paper 1 and Presentation (Ethics as Identity and Personal Journey): Following the format of Kreeft’s The Journey, you are to write your first paper in the form of a dialogue in which you are a traveler who engages with at least three ethicists about a specific life dilemma of particular concern to you and the role of communication. Choose from among the theorists discussed in the Neher and Sandin textbook, Chs. 2 – 6: Aristotle, Kant, Habermas, Rawls, Buber, Rogers, Levinas, Freire, Foucault, Derrida, Gilligan or others approved by me. You are to introduce each thinker by describing her/his assumptions and contributions to the understanding of communication ethics. You should personify each as they engage with you in conversation about your personal assumptions and views.
