Internet assignment for HIST 130. In l989 serious democratic protests erupted in China, with many students gathering in Tiananmen Square. After a tense stand-off, the Chinese government broke up the protests with armed force. As if you were asked to write a paper on this moment, research this event on the web. Consult at least 5 different websites (but not Wikipedia,News websites, off limits!) for information on the tragedy; also look at bloggers to see why this event still is important in contemporary debate.
Within one page (SINGLE SPACED), evaluate the sites you have consulted: how reliable are they? Whose viewpoint is represented? Is it biased or objective? Why is it important? Is it reliable? Are any “neutral.” DO NOT describe the event but evaluate your sources of information.
