As you write, think about the purposes the profile serves and the ways in which you’ve adjusted your profile over time in response to the profiles of others. Answer at least two of these questions: What signals does the profile contain? What meaning is being created? Does the profile express power? Does the profile you are analyzing contain ambiguous messages? Consider the forms and major principles of communication and analyze one of your social media profiles and habits (or those of a friend). Consider the role of culture as you view the profile, as well as different aspects of communication competence.
