Read the reading assignment, “A Summary of the Bible.” It consists of about 6,600 words and describes the major events of the Bible. Now in no more than 1,600 words summarize what you read in that reading assignment. You will have to condense the thoughts of what you read into about one-fourth the size of the original material. You will have to omit some of the things that were covered so that you can focus on the most important points. However, you should make certain that you do not neglect any of the most important events that you read about. Try as much as possible to put things in your own words. However, if you quote directly from “A Summary of the Bible,” put the quoted material in quotation marks.
