Field Placement There are 3 different parts of this paper the first part consists of 2 pages only. The first parts directions are: The purpose of the paper is to have a discussion of the tasks performed during the internship. This might include the types of research tools utilized, the type of computer software used, and what was learned from related activities. With a full discussion of the student intern’s experience in the participating police department. The paper should also include: Describe skills used and acquired. Evaluate the benefit derived from the assignments in terms of the intern’s personal goals. Compare the knowledge and skills actually gained with the knowledge and skills that had been expected. Describe personal performance on different tasks, referencing specific work produced and forms used. Describe any problems that arose while performing assigned tasks. Discuss the benefits provided to the placement site as a result of the internship program and how these benefits might relate to future employment opportunities. Evaluate and summarize the internship experience including general opinions and observations. Discuss impact of the internship on career orientation, skills acquisition, human relations, and job improvement. Assess how the UC Criminal Justice Program prepared the student for the experience and how it might offer better preparation. Advice that you would give future interns about the internship experience Include any insights, comments, and/or recommendations. the second part also consists of 2 pages only. The second parts directions are: to evaluate the police department itself; for example, the way the chief and officers handled each dispute, list and explain qualities that the police department has to be efficient in their work, how were their performance standards, are there any ways to improve the agency, etc. the third part consists of 1 page only. The third part directions are: to do a thank you letter to the agency, with the right format. _________________________________________________________________________ Note: I will provide my daily journals for you to use them in the paper, if there are questions that you cannot answer based off my journals just think of something that would answer the questions or use some outside source if it helps
