Coca-Cola Company is one of the most well-known corporations in the world. The corporation was founded in 1892 in Atlanta, Georgia, and has its headquarters. Today, the Company focuses on the production and sale of syrup and Coca-Cola, a sweet carbonated beverage that has become a global symbol of the American people. The Company also produces other soft drinks and citrus beverages. Its diversity has resulted in over 2,800 products being available in over 200 countries. As a result, Coca-Cola is one of the world’s largest beverage manufacturers and distributors. The assignment taught me that having a personal brand is essential because it allows you to connect with customers authentically, making you memorable. Creating a personal brand can give the audience information about why one is the best choice in the industry. Also, the assignment taught me that people trust people, not businesses and that personal branding is vital.
One thing the Coca-Cola Company does well is its global marketing strategy. Even though the Company is a worldwide beverage industry with various products, its marketing strategy consists of fundamental ideas to which people can relate. For example, it has simple slogans like ‘Happiness’ and ‘Enjoy’ that can be easily translated across the globe. Another beneficial aspect of the Company is its socializationsocialization component. As one of the fastest-growing tools, social media allows the Company to reach its customers through a single platform. For example, the Company’s “Share the Coke campaign” successfully employs social media to engage consumers and encourage them to share their Coca-Cola experience with others. According to the Wall Street Journal, the campaign has received over 125,000 posts. The Company involves its employees in decision-making, which has increased worker commitment and humanizedhumanized the workplace, resulting in high work performance and good citizenship behaviour.
My communication skills are linked to the company socializationsocialization aspect. Communication via various channels is important because it fosters relationships and allows people to share their experiences and needs and connect with others. For example, I am a member of several social media groups, which has allowed me to express my thoughts on various topics, such as the importance of incorporating creativity into the decision-making process of multiple businesses. My contribution to the group and dissemination of information resulted in creating the #CreativesIdeas tag on social media platforms. Furthermore, the Company’s ability to include employees in decision-making reflects my practical leadership skills. Having learned the five-factor model personality of a leader, I have always tried to shape my character around it, which has resulted in my selection as the chairman of the Innovative and Creative sector in my local youth organization. In addition, I demonstrate other leadership characteristics such as humility, organizational skills, openness to new ideas, and courage.
However, the Coca-Cola Company has several flaws. For example, they are frequently subjected to patent infringement lawsuits involving using a dispenser that recognizes users and customizes drinks based on their preferences. The Company’s products have raised several health concerns, with carbonated beverages causing diabetes and obesity. Despite health experts prohibiting soft drinks, Coca-Cola, the world’s largest manufacturer of carbonated beverages, has not developed an alternative health solution for the problem. As a result, the Company relies heavily on third-party technology providers, such as Microsoft, to provide business software. Coca-Cola also has environmentally damaging packaging, and in 2020 it was named one of the four most prominent consumer brands in the world that are contributing to global warming by using throwaway plastic bottles. The Company’s flaws remind me of things I need to work on. For example, I rely excessively on social media for information, and I have occasionally fallen victim to fake news. Before making a decision, I have learned that it is critical to consult multiple sources, such as library books.
Furthermore, I need to improve my punctuality because time is significant, especially as a leader. After all, I will set an excellent example for others. Another area I could improve is taking on too much work that I do not finish, resulting in last-minute delegating of the work to others.
Furthermore, business issues have a variety of effects on society. Obesity, for example, harms the quality of life, productivity, and life expectancy. Moreover, it raises healthcare costs and causes disability, endangering society’s overall well-being. As a result of the Company’s overdependence on technology, most of its operations are automated, resulting in high levels of unemployment. The environmentally destructive packing contributes to global warming, which harms society by causing issues such as drought, which reduces food production. Floods are also more likely to occur due to global warming, resulting in the spread of diseases and the destruction of infrastructure and the ecosystem. Human health problems caused by global warming can reduce worker productivity and increase mortality. My flaws, such as punctuality, have impacted my schoolwork because I have submitted assignments late several times. Furthermore, using social media has resulted in job applications being introduced to the incorrect websites, resulting in oversharing of my personal information. Finally, my ability to take on extra work has impacted my work because last-minute work is not done to perfection.
The Company should address the issue of environmentally harmful packaging by developing recyclable bottles. To avoid violating human resource laws, the Company should ensure that every operation is aligned with the compliance issues. For example, before using any equipment, it should be evaluated to see if another person claims it. Due to this, Coca-Cola will save money on legal fees and invest in its production and marketing strategies.
There are several solutions to my problem. The first step in improving punctuality is to make a conscious decision to always be on time. In addition, I will change my mindset and believe that being early is a sign of a well-organized leader. It will demonstrate my regard for others. In addition, I will establish a new habit of always being on time and sticking to it. To ensure punctuality, I will be brutal in my to-do list to provide a realistic schedule. This will ensure that I can comfortably say no to some situations rather than saying yes to please others and being late. I plan on separating tasks into; essential but not urgent tasks that I can schedule later, urgent and neither urgent nor essential. Furthermore, I will double-check all the sources I use and only accept work I can handle flawlessly. Improving myself means becoming more productive and honing my communication, organizationalorganizational, and leadership abilities.
