Find a data set (preferably related to UAE) and apply data mining techniques to extract useful patterns/knowledge from the data. The first three references below show one example application: Forecasting Gold price. The remaining references show use of data mining techniques for predicting academic performance of students. There are many other applications of data mining techniques. Also papers published by students of the same course last year are available on Blackboard.
