Nostalgia

Assignment-Think about a time and place before you were born but no more than 500 years ago. Think about the way people lived and about their culture. Then through incorporating research and at least two rhetorical strategies, write an essay in which you answer the following question: 
If you could travel in time, when and where would you go? Why would you want to visit?
(Choose a specific location, like New York ,  and a specific time period, like 1950’s)

Expectations- The essay should consist of the following elements: an original title, an introduction that provides background information on the topic, a clear thesis, use of at least two rhetorical strategies, and the research component of the assignment. The research component should include the following items: 1. One song, poem, or novel, 2.one photo or image, and 3.one book or film. you may also use other resources but make sure to cite them. Must include works cited at the end of essay. 

Drop yourself into this time period and write your own personal narrative, and use rhetorical strategies like narrative,description, definition, or exemplification  to write an interesting and detailed paper of this time period, creating an authentic and vivid essay. Write 4-5 pages of double spaced text in Times new roman 12-point font.
