Current events allow the BUSG 1301 student to read and report on a recent event that pertains to a U.S. company doing business. Try to find a Texas-based or even Houston-based company if possible.
Do NOT use non-profit organizations or government entities.
Do NOT use earnings reports.
Research stories in newspapers, periodicals, or on-line. Stories should be no older than 30 days.
Submit a one to two page, typed, 12 pt. font, and double-spaced, summary of a recent event involving a U.S. company doing business. Indicate why the story is relevant and make sure to cite any sources used. Current events need to be submitted in your own words with complete source citations at the end. If your source is online, include the URL in your source citation.
Current event due dates will be posted in Eagle Online. Current events are submitted via Eagle Online.
