Final Paper:
Each student will pick a particular environmental issue/problem and write a paper about it. The paper, 5 full pages of text, should include a thesis statement, evidence to support the thesis, and conclusions.
Your task will be to collect information about the issue, describe it in detail and evaluate it based on the framework, issues, and information we have reviewed in class through readings and media, including how it relates to the development of your area. What are the attributes of the place ( economic, social, political, etc) that contributesuch form of inequality? How are citizens and/or governance structures responding to the issue? This paper should be the result of extensive library research and use of academic sources (peer reviewed) (Fox news, Blog posts, NYT, Travel Guides, BBC, and Wikipedia for example, do not count as academic sources).
