Concrete nouns can be seen, felt, heard, smelt, tasted, and/or touched.

Here’s an example of a concrete noun:The water ran through the river.
Water is a concrete noun because you can see, feel, taste, and touch it.

Another example is:The sun was beating down on the children outside.
The sun is a concrete noun because you can see it, feel it, etc.

This, however, is NOT a concrete noun; Einstein was well-known for his brilliance .
While brilliance is a noun, you cannot identify the noun by the five senses. Therefore, brilliance is an abstract noun, which is the opposite of a concrete noun.
