Why are exothermic products more stable than reactants?

Species with less internal energy are always more stable

The drive of all exothermic reaction is to produce a product which is more stable by having a smaller internal energy. In this case, the exothermic product is always stavle than the reactants since it incorporates a release of corresponding to a positive Gibb’s free energy (spontaneous reaction).
