It’s a Friday night, and you just battled your way through an online quiz in Anthropology that had to be submitted by 11 pm, and you beat the deadline by a couple of hours. Feeling pretty good about the quiz (and suddenly having a little free time on Friday night), you check Facebook and Twitter to see who’s attending what parties and concerts that night. You notice that some friends you haven’t seen for a while are having a party, so you text two of your buddies to ask if they want to hit the party. Then you click to the Ticketmaster website (www.ticketmaster.com) because Redeye Empire from Vancouver is coming to the big arena on campus (you signed up for the Ticketmaster “performer alert” service and got an email this afternoon), and you want to snag a couple of tickets as soon as possible. Your buddies text back and say they are up for the party and will be at your place in half an hour. Before they arrive, you have just enough time to download the new Redeye Empire album from CDBaby (http://www.cdbaby.com) and set your Sling-box ( www. slingmedia.com) so that you can check the NBA scores on SportsCenter from the Internet on your cell phone while you’re at the party.
