Integrating writing and spelling activities into an early childhood literacy program is critical to a balanced learning approach. Highly effective writing, spelling, and literacy centers that provide motivating, fun, and beneficial learning experiences for children are vital. For this assignment, write a paper in which you address the following: Identify and discuss the stages of writing development and the stages of spelling. Embed in your paper examples of the progression of children’s writing from drawing to conventional spelling. Explain strategies and activities for developing writing and spelling skills from birth through early childhood. Justify your strategies with appropriate and current research.
