Batholith Formed when plutons (bodies of of various sizes) converge, cool, and crystallize below the Earth’s crust
Laccolith Formed when magma is forced through layers of rock and pools in a dome shape
Phacolith Formed when magma formed from deep within the Earth fills in cracks and crevices
Dyke Formed when magma or sediment fill in a pre-existing crack
Lopolith Formed similarly to phacoliths, but comprised of dense magma that allows rocks on top of it to depress during cooling
Stock Formed when a body of magma cools and is later exposed by erosion
