In preterm and full term newborn infants is delayed cord clamping (>2 minutes) more effective than immediate cord clamping (<1 minute) in preventing poor hematologic outcomes within the first year of life

Background: Multiple factors influence delayed vs. immediate (Doctor, policy, mother’s choice) what has been done/tried such as a guideline implementation and its impact. add stats/evidence of benefits vs disadvantages
Scope: Population of newborn babies (both pre and full term)
Consequences: Anemia (iron level, H&H)
Knowledge gaps: a standard for what is considered “delayed”
Proposed solution: Standardize a delayed cord clamping time
the right timing e.g. 2 or 3 minutes? Or implement? The study will look at the effect of it?
