Question 1. Discuss Bartles claim that the obstacles to changing economic inequality results from conflicting partisan ideologies and the political power and outlook of the wealthy.

Question 2. In Chapter2 Bartles shows that the middle class does better under   Democratic administrations.   In the following chapters he indicates why the middle class still vote Republican.  Discuss the factors behind their support for Republicans.
