What were the agreements under the “Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo”? After the treaty was signed, how were Mexicans treated? How the Mexican culture viewed by Americans. How did the U.S. feel about Mexico during this time? 4. What is your overall opinions about this period (1821-1848)? Who won and who lost, why? How do you think both sides, American settlers and Mexicans, feel about this overall situation? The film title, “Foreigners in their Own Land” does it mean to you?
