How do you solve ##5times 4- ( ( 8+ 7) div 5+ 1)##?

So what you do to solve this question is since there are parentheses you would do the inside pair first which is 15. Next you would do 15 divided by 5 which is 3 then you would add 1 to the 3 which would be 4. Now that the you have the 4 you will start from the beginning and do 5 times 4 and that would be 20. Now that we’ve found the two numbers 20 and 4 you will do the last step which is subtracting. We will now do 20-4 equals 16.
