Paper instructions:
For your first essay, you will analyze how the argument is constructed in “How Junk Food Can End Obesity” by David H. Freedman. Your thesis should be descriptive and not evaluative, and in your essay, you should address all of the major argument components outlined in Chapter 5 of Think About It: context, reasoning (claim, stated and unstated reasons), writer/speaker, and audience. You may also use concepts from chapters 1-2 in Think About It to aid in your analysis.
Your final draft should be at least 1800 words and should not exceed 2200 words. You must cite “How Junk Food Can End Obesity,” and you may cite other sources only as needed (additional sources are not required).
