Lerner and Loewe’s My Fair Lady is one of the greatest musicals ever written and a classic of the American stage. It is a musical revisioning of George Bernard Shaw’s play Pygmalion (1913) and premiered on Broadway in New York in 1956. It has provided us with some of the most-recognizable tunes in the American popular canon including On The Street Where You Live, Get Me To The Church On Time, and I Could Have Danced All Night. Your written response requires a critical assessment of the show which means that you need to engage with it and critique it (whether positively or negatively.)
