One reader described Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore as “Harry Potter for the digital native.” Why would I have chosen this odd and funny book to kick off the course? What questions does it raise that relate to our investigation? Can you point to any striking examples in the novel of the interaction between old and new forms of communication?
