The educational approach I found most interesting was the Reggio Emilia Approach. I selected this approach because I like that it has four key points consisting of emergent curriculum, in depth projects, representational development, and collaboration. All these together help a teacher with their students to help the child be more well-rounded in their education as well as the teacher learning new ways of teaching to better suit a child. I also liked that with this approach they use looping. Looping is a term they use for a child having the same teacher for three years (Feeney, Moravcik, Nolte, 2019, p.85). Additional information I found was that they document different ways that children learn and what works best for each child. “Documentation of the growth of both children and teacher is another important component of the Reggio Emilia approach” (Stoudt, 2020).
