How to choose a career Description Everyone has to choose a career, but how does a person choose? What’s the most important thing to think about? Should people consider their own passions, skills and abilities? Should people consider whether the job/ career is meaningful, purposeful, or valuable? Should people make their choices based on practical guidelines, such as job availability, cost of education, and wages? Decide whether your ideas apply to everyone or to specific demographic groups: youth, women, immigrants, those choosing a second career. Develop a working thesis that is an argument.
