Question 1

(1.) Frequency of most severe tornadoes of April 3-4 1973 compare to normal tornado formation.

Most tornados travel at speeds of less than 110 miles per hour and travel for a few miles before the eventual dissipating.  The tornadoes experienced in 1973 almost attained the extreme status which has been found to be around 300mph.

Question 2

(2.) Histogram on the Distribution of tornado durations during all the Tornadoes of the April 3-4 1974.

Question 3

(3.) Six histograms displaying the tornado duration for all the F-scale categories of the April 3-4 1994.The relationship between the duration and intensity of the tornadoes is that the longer the duration of the tornadoes, the stronger and larger the tornado.  This means that more damages are caused by long duration tornadoes.

.

Question 4

(3.) Relationship between the number of deaths and the intensity of the tornadoes

The number of deaths increased with the increase in the intensity of tornadoes.

Question 5

(5.) The bar graph represents the relationship between the number of deaths and the size of the community.  The number of deaths is largest in the rural areas and least in the large cities.  This could be attributed to the control measures that have been adopted in the rural areas which is not available in the rural and less developed areas.

Summary of findings and conclusions.

Conclusion

The increase in the frequency of tornadoes results to more extreme situations where the number of deaths experienced increases with an increase in the frequency.  The large and medium cities were at a better position to control the impact of the tornadoes thus the reduced number of deaths reported from the tornadoes.
