counseling and psychotherapy. The goal of this paper is to provide you with an
opportunity to critically examine the theoretical material presented in the readings
and class time, to evaluate it in light of Christian worldview perspectives and your
personal beliefs, values, and interpersonal style. It will also help you to begin to make
decisions about how you will conceptualize your approach as a future therapist. This
paper is to be 8-10 pages in length, to be written in APA format and will be graded on
grammar and punctuation, as well as on content and clarity of thought.
The paper should include the following:
• key concepts of the theory
• the role of the counselor
• therapeutic goals and how those goals are decided
• central techniques employed
• issues of cultural diversity to be considered
• incorporation of a Christian worldview in the use of the theory
• your personal beliefs, values, and interpersonal style using this theory
