Your readings discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using surveys. During my graduate work, I had to write a thesis.  I used a survey for news practitioners in the Connecticut news market that I work in.  I wanted to find out if news practitioners use sensationalism in news stories, if they admit they do or not, and if they will justify or explain their use.  I did research on what news journalists actually do with stories and the role sensationalism plays.  What would be the advantages and disadvantage do you think from me using a survey? There are four network television affiliates here in this market. How many people would you think appropriate to give my survey to?
